The idea was to provide atypical house plan, due to the topography the entrance is at the lower level and the ‘Piano Nobile’ is actually on the second floor. There are two sets of stairs, one taking guests from the entrance to the main floor and a second one along a wall of windows covering all three floors. The house is facing west, looking above the house across the street, I thought to provide a covered terrace for the master bedroom to watch sunsets.
