Rudi D is a company built from the ground up by Rudi Djabbarzadeh. He is a self-created professional who has a unique perspective on the art of building homes that reflect the unique character of the people who live in them.

Rudi D was born on the fulcrum of the last century – 1950 – exactly between the old and the new, the historic and the modern, able and ready to tip in either direction as he sees fit. He was born—perhaps just as instructively—in Switzerland, the ever-neutral land that seeks balance above all else.

His childhood was wonderful and protected, a nurtured life that allowed him to learn and follow his intellectual whimsy wherever it might take him. Born in Switzerland of Armenian parents, Rudi D speaks 5 languages fluently and has traveled the world extensively. He is a graduate of the Foreign Service School at Georgetown University. Produced films and videos in the 70"s and worked in stage and set design in the same time period. He even served a stint with the UN High Commission on Refugees, a pursuit that instilled in him a spirit of giving back.

Fabiola Martens was born in 1962 in Belgium. She received a law degree from the University of Leuven and practiced as a trial lawyer Brussels until she moved to the United States in 1989. She obtained a second law degree from the University of Pennsylvania and continued to practice law for several years. She is fluent in Flemish, French, English and German.

Growing up, Fabiola Martens was forever attracted to beauty. It didn't take long for her to develop a keen eye for detail and quality—a reputation for good taste soon followed. Though she holds two prestigious law degrees, friends (and friends of friends) did not shy away from asking her for help with their interiors, requests to which she happily acquiesced.

In 1997, Fabiola gave up law altogether and began an interior design business. The venture blossomed into a full-time career and she has never looked back. Her legal background gives her an understanding of the importance of budget, diligence and communication with the clients.
